This Privacy Policy explains how WhyRejected (“we”, “us”), which runs the website whyrejected.in (“WhyRejected”), collects, uses and protects your information. It follows the Information Technology Act, 2000, its rules, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. By using the website, you agree to this policy.

What we collect

• Resume file and answers that you upload or type (name, contact details, education, work history, skills).
• Mobile number and email at checkout, to send your receipt and download link and to give support.
• Payment details: payments are handled by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login.
• Messages you send through our contact form or email.
• Basic technical data: IP address (stored only as a one-way hash, for fraud prevention and rate limits) and browser type.

How we use it

• To check your resume and create your fixed or new resume using AI.
• To process your payment and deliver your PDF.
• To reply to support requests, process refunds and prevent misuse.

AI processing

Your resume text is sent to our AI processing provider only to generate your result. We do not use it to train public AI models, and it is never shown to other users.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed for the website to work (for example, to keep your check result during your visit). We do not use advertising cookies on policy pages. If we run ads, the ad platform may use its own cookies as per its policy.

How long we keep it

Uploaded files, generated resumes and job data are deleted automatically after 7 days. Payment and invoice records are kept as required by Indian tax laws.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the service (hosting, AI processing, payment gateway, email), or when required by law.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time by writing to support@whyrejected.in. We reply within 7 working days.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, store files outside the public website folder and limit who can access them.

Children

The service is meant for people aged 18 and above, or younger users with a parent’s consent.

Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
